Alright, alright. Time to continue my rewatch of BBC Sherlock series. After the cliffhanger ending from Season 1, back in the day, we had to wait 2 LONG AZZ YEARS for Season 2 to come out. Can you imagine having to wait that long for a resolution to that ending!

The resolution was both menacing and anticlimatic. But the introduction of another iconic Conan Doyle’s #Sherlock Holmes character in episode 1, that fantastically cast Lara Pulver as Irene Adler. While I had no problem with how Adler was played my McAdams, Pulver was just more…

I legit put Pulver up there with Ruth Wilson as two of my fav portrayal of “villainesses” that #Sherlock and Luther, respectively, could not help being both fascinated and distrustful of of. Alice probably more sociopath than Irene was though. Both smart as hell!

#Sherlock being lowkey jealous of how popular Watson’s blog on their cases is compared to his own blog in which Sherlock “enumerates 247 different types of tabacco ash…” of which “no one is reading”, according to Watson, is both hilarious and sad.

You can tell that low key #Sherlock is a flattered by all the attention Watson’s blog is getting…but of course he want admit it.

Of course the big deal from the first episode opener is the brief sighting of #Sherlock wearing his classic iconic deerstalker cap.

I mean when you think about it, Watson’s blog was like the first foray into true crime blogs. I loved the way they changed up a bit, the way they showed the crimes. I loved the backstory shown in this first app. Also too, Lestrade warning the countryside detective not to punch Sherlock is actually very sound advice, cause Sherlock is surely one who you’d want to punch…So…

#Sherlock refusing to even get out of his apartment for a cirme he consider anything less than a 7 out of 10 is totally me when it comes to going to going out with a bunch of people. Unless it’s mandatory or possibly can’t miss…

Not Buckingham palace and #Sherlock refusing to put on any clothes just sitting wrapped in a sheet and refusing to get dressed.

And there she is… “Irene Adler, professionally known as THE WOMAN”
Sherlock. Whoever did the casting for this show did the damn thing on this casting.

Also…I hope whoever did the wardrobe for Irene Adler in the #Sherlock series got either a big bonus or some big damn awards or both…cause they had Irene dripped in every scene.

“Brainy is the new sexy…” The way Irene Adler got #Sherlock discombobulated, by just being her naked, sexy self…even have Watson looking at Sherlock like…”dafuq is wrong with you…”

The action sequence in Irene Adler’s apartment was 100% inspired by the Holmes films…had to be…made me want to see if Guy Ritchie directed this #Sherlock episode

The entire scene where Adler drugs #Sherlock and ends waking up in his bed after she secretly returns his coat…and her leaving her a text with her moaning as the text alert…

The way I just LMBAO at how outraged #Sherlock and Watson were at Mycroft on Mrs. Hudson’s behalf and then Shelock literally telling Mrs. Hudson the same thing…

#Sherlock calling Watson a hoe without calling him a hoe.

Gawd…#Sherlock in that guessing the gift scene with Molly…poor Molly. Seriously though, more often than not truly…

SMH…Molly girl… this #Sherlock thing…gurl…

Ya know, not for nothing, but I can’t see a London snow scene without thinking of my favorite snow scens from Bridget Jones #IYKYK

Not Mrs. Hudson. Darn American agents…smh…he deserved that push.

Ya know what, I always figured #Sherlock always knew Irene wasn’t dead. I just suspect he said so because he knew she was likely in trouble and needed to fake her death. I also suspect Mycroft knew as well, which is why he told Watson to pay close attention to Sherlock.

It’s Watson always looking at Irene and #Sherlock like…for me…🤣

Mycroft…what have you done…

How do you know Irene Adler rattles #Sherlock Holmes? Ain’t no way he’s leave her alone in his apartment even if Watson was there. He would never trust anyone other than Watson, especially after Mrs Hudson was attacked. Baby she got him shooked! #Rewatch

Not the “Ice Man and The Virgin”…but why does it fit both Mycroft and #Sherlock so well though…

Irene guurrl…not … I AM “SHER” LOCKED…#Sherlock

S2:E1 ending…probably one of my favorite ending of the series. It left you thinking you may just see more of Irene Adler after all. Such a great character and Lara Pulver was so damn good and her and Cumberbatch’s chemistry…

Alright…that’s it for my #Sherlock #Rewatch of S2:E1. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, I am really enjoying this rewatch. It’s been so long, it’s like seeing it for the first time and it’s just as good. If you enjoyed this rewatch as much as I did, check me out next time to rewatch episode 2, season 3 to continue my Sherlock rewatch.

Oh…something extra I found. If costumes are your thing, check out a blog post from 2012 detailing Irende Adler’s costume wardrobe in this episode along with wardrobe discussions for the entire episode. Sherlock Series 2: A Scandal in Belgravia Costume Overview. It’s a great read.
