Okay, so yesterday, Saturday August 8, my youngest sister Jessica and her fiancée Rolondo got married in Dallas. 
I am the oldest of 5 girls born to my mom Cynthia…Natalie & Nicole (da twins) are 35. Robin is 26 and my youngest sister Jessica is 24. My sisters and I have different fathers, but we all shared the same one bedroom apartment for about nine months in Casa de Cynthia…we yell, we scream, and we fight like crazy…but we are VERY CLOSE…so “God help the mister who comes between me and my sister” is def a mantra for my family…lol.
Jessica, in particular was born when I was 16 years old. 
Being a teen, and being raised by a single mother, I had to help out my mom with baby Jessica, so I spent a lot of time with Jessica. When Jessica was in high school, she actually came to live with me in DFW. So for about 4 years, I was basically as much a mother to her as I was a sister. I’d like to think she relied on me a little bit more than my others sisters (but maybe just in my mind…lol), and when she really needed me, I was there for her. Well after this weekend, she’ll maybe need me less than she did before…she’s a married lady now.
My family and I arrived in Dallas Friday evening for the wedding on Saturday. The Evans contingent was small yet boisterous. Me my sister Natalie, my nephew Tre’, my mother’s sister (my aunt) Claudette and the mother of the bride, my mom Cynthia. Saturday was the big day. The day started very early and with a very dark turn (not gonna dwell on that with this blog post, but if you are reading this post, then you more than likely already know how the morning of the wedding began). Beyond the dark turn though, the rest of the day was PERFECT, hot as hell, but PERFECT.
The wedding day started with some new lashes, new makeup, new hair, and of course preparation for the ceremony and day ahead. It was a beautiful ceremony and the bride and groom were a loving and beautiful couple. Here’s an edited splicing of the 3 video clip I recorded of the ceremony:
